To solidify the foundation of a robust academic atmosphere among undergraduate students, the symposium "Diligent Learning, Sincere Practice, Integrity for Success" was successfully held at the One-Stop Student Community Service Center at noon on November 14. The event specially invited Liu Xiaoyan, a faculty member from the School of Art and Design, as the keynote speaker. Also in attendance were Yuan Xiao and Zhu Ruihua, counselors from the School of Art and Design, Liu Xianbo, a counselor from the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, as well as undergraduate student representatives from various grades of both schools, gathering together to discuss academic atmosphere construction.

During the symposium, keynote speaker Liu Xiaoyan shared her teaching experience, focusing on "cultivating an academic character and professional competence grounded in truth and practicality," tailored to the characteristics of art and design disciplines. She provided practical guidance addressing common academic challenges and creative bottlenecks faced by design students. Outstanding student representatives shared their experiences in exam preparation and research practices, showcasing the empowering influence of peer support in fostering a culture of "learning, comparing, striving, and surpassing." Additionally, the symposium featured cautionary case studies on examination discipline, interpreting regulations on handling academic misconduct to strengthen students' awareness of academic integrity. During the interactive session, faculty and students engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as enhancing learning initiative, optimizing academic services within the student community, and facilitating cross-school learning collaboration, generating multiple constructive suggestions.

This symposium established a bridge for communication between faculty and students across schools. It clarified that the One-Stop Community will subsequently collaborate with both schools to organize a series of activities, including an Academic Assistance Month, a touring exhibition of design works, and interdisciplinary study groups. These initiatives aim to establish a long-term mechanism for academic support, continuously fostering a positive, pragmatic, and truth-seeking academic environment, thereby contributing to the growth and success of undergraduate students.
