On November 4, 2025, the School of Art and Design organized a special lecture at the "One-Stop" Student Community Service Center, focusing on the connection between "College Students' Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Industrial Design." The lecture was delivered by Zeng Shun, a faculty member from the Industrial Design Department of the School of Art and Design. Attendees included Yuan Xiao, a counselor from the School of Art and Design, Zhang Xize, a counselor from the School of Air Transportation (Flight College), and students from both schools.

Professor Zeng Shun elaborated on pathways for integrating innovation and entrepreneurship thinking into industrial design, aiming to support industrial upgrading and cultivate innovative talent. He emphasized how to embed this mindset firmly within industrial design practices. Through curriculum integration, universities guide students to transcend the confines of purely artistic design by incorporating business thinking throughout the entire process—from market research to product realization—thereby transforming designs from "creative concepts" into "tangible products."
Cross-disciplinary collaboration was highlighted as a core component. For instance, multidisciplinary student teams, such as collaborations between art and engineering majors, have developed products recognized by enterprises in intelligent equipment design competitions. This lecture not only provided a platform for students of the School of Art and Design to interact directly with role models but also helped them further clarify their goals and better position themselves for future endeavors.
